The widespread shift to remote work due to the pandemic is here to stay, with many companies implementing a hybrid model (partly remote, partly at the office). With the BEAT BURNOUT project we want to decrease gender gap and prevent burnout in organizations by identifying difficulties for women working remotely. Why the project is focusing on women working remotely is because women are more likely than men to feel burned out at work, 34% vs. 26% and because the burnout gender gap has more than doubled since 2019 (Gallup). Burnout can lead to anxiety and lowered productivity. Leaders must help their employees at risk of work-related burnout and take steps to protect them.
