SMEs Growing in Europe
Through the active programme “Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs“, we bring young entrepreneurs in collaboration with great people gaining important business experiences. The exchanges take place in the framework of the project “SMEs Growing in Europe”, headed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Girona (Spain). The project is co-financed by the European Commission.
Through the SGE project, we help young and potential entrepreneurs from Greece to develop their business or business ideas, through their collaboration with experienced entrepreneurs from other EU countries. Οι Young entrepreneurs gather and exchange knowledge and business ideas together with an experienced entrepreneur, with whom they work for a period of 1 to 6 months.
At the same time, successful and experienced entrepreneurs from Greece can share their experience and their businesses can become models of good practice as a host company for young European entrepreneurs. As a host entrepreneur, you can take advantage of fresh ideas of the new entrepreneur in your own business.
The SGE project began in February 2018 and will be active until the beginning of 2020. The project partners aim to reach a total of at least 300 young and experienced entrepreneurs from Spain, Italy, Romania, Poland, Greece, Austria, Malta, FYROM, Hungary and the Netherlands to support and finance 160 international exchanges.
The SGE partners are: Cambra de Comerc, Industria i Navegació de Girona (Spain), Eduforma (Italy), Fundatia Danis (Romania), Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomii i Innowacji w Lublinie (Poland), Smart Umbrella Management Solutions (Greece), Amadeus Verein Fur Transnationale Bildung (Austria), Malta Enterprise (Malta), Business Confederation of Macedonia (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Iparfejlesztési Közhasznú Nonprofit Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (Hungary), Quarter Mediation (The Netherlands).

“My involvement in various areas of planning and most importantly of implementing of various approved projects, gave me the opportunity to understand the working reality of a different European company. “Ι now have a clear and wide picture of how an industrial production line is been designed and what are the parameters have to be taken in consideration for industrial production, what is the job of a Food engineer and especially in an industry like BIGTEM (agrofood food production lines, design and production of processing lines). How many and different parts are included in a food processing line and how they are look like in reality after the fitting process. Also, I gain experiences in communicating with clients and creating a network of contacts, developing and promoting new techniques and applications, costing and scheduling for project completion. I now feel confident to start my own company and work on issues related to the management of the necessary procedures and processes before and during its establishment.”
